That's a good insight, and her pull on him is an intriguing power. It comes up again when you mention that "he fell in 'love.'…..I believe it was in 'lust' more than in “love”." She definitely has a pull on him, and she treats him like he's inferior even when he's an adult - only it doesn't seem to offend him; instead, it seems to attract him. Hm.
